About Altinkum

Altinkum lies in the beautiful and historic Aegean region of Turkey.

If you are looking for a beach holiday or a life in the sun, look no further. Altinkum's name literally translates as "golden sands" and it is a name that is thoroughly deserved.

Stretching from the small harbour at one end of the bay to a rocky headland at the other lie 2 beaches and over a kilometre of golden sands, where lazy days can be spent soaking up the sun.

The beach also has a flat promenade making it extremely easy to get around.

A short distance from Altinkum, you will find the impressive Temple of Apollo in Didyma, an incredible and beautiful testament to Turkey's ancient civilisation.

Everest Apartments are near the Apollo Temple and on the local bus route, making it very easy for beach-lovers.

There's great news for golfers too! Plans for an 18-hole golf course in Altinkum Didim moved forward with 173 acres reserved on the Mercimek site along with a 5-star hotel with 420 beds. Plans for the 18-hole golf course in Altinkum Didim include a driving range, putting greens, club house, restaurant, and swimming pool with swim-up bar. Additionally, a second golf course between Altinkum and Akbuk is also proposed.

Anyone interested in sailing can also appreciate how carefully we chose where to build the Everest Apartments, perfectly located for the new marina road. In February 2007, construction of the $52 million Didim Marina began near Third Beach in Altinkum and is planned to be completed by Summer 2009.

Altinkum's marina is a high quality project covering nearly 300,000 m2 and will include a yacht club, swimming pool, and a heliport. The Didim Yacht Marina will have over 600 berths and accomodate 600 yachts in dry dock, plus yacht lifts for 100 and 300 tonne vessels. The marina will serve yachts up to 100 metres and have facilities for ferryboat cruises to local Greek islands like Kos and Samos.

Not only are the two golf courses and marina going to be good from an investor's point of view, Altinkum retains its relaxed atmosphere by night, and offers a good choice of restaurants and bars, making it an perfect choice for family holidays.
